President Trump will be holding his first rally of the year in El Paso Texas for 2019, which is scheduled for this next week on Monday. The location seems ideal for his motives behind the long-promised wall as the President is still trying to secure more than $5 million to fund its accomplishment.
El Paso just happens to skim the border of the US and Mexico and Trump has every intention of making his point clear that the wall is needed by using this previously high-crime town, which now has lower crime than ever before because of its border fencing.
As Trump stated in his State of the Union address, El Paso “used to have extremely high rates of violent crime — one of the highest in the country and considered one of our nation’s most dangerous cities. Now, with a powerful barrier in place, El Paso is one of our safest cities.”
Crime rates fell over 34% after fences were installed in 2008-2009. As one of the fastest growing cities in Texas (as stated by El Paso car accident attorney, Joe Lopez) crimes rates usually increase tremendously but evidence of the fencing has proven otherwise.
President Trump will begin again to fight for his position as the president of the United States of America. Not only does he begin with considering the unity of our country, but the importance of welcoming immigrants into our country and doing it legally.
